The 1930’s

The 1930’s found the Salesian Sisters in a period of growth in many ways.  Their spirit of joy was contagious, attracting young women to the community and young people to the mission.  The call of young people in faraway Florida resonated in the hearts of the Sisters who left the Northeast to share the Salesian charism in the Sunshine State. Whether north or south, their lives echoed that of Mary Mazzarello who said, “Be always cheerful.  Happiness is a sign of a heart that loves the Lord!"
